Your pathway to recovery

How I can help you...

My name is Kate Simpson I developed ‘The Recovery Programme’ to provide a systematic approach to personal recovery. This website will give you an idea of what I do and how your recovery from ongoing mental and physical chronic symptoms may be possible.

The Recovery Programme includes: Assessment, training & coaching, delivered in a phased manner which helps you to understand and deal with complex chronic illness and the debilitating effects of anxiety, stress and depression in your personal & family life.

The Recovery Programme can help you achieve greater agency over your body and mind so you can free yourself and escape from ‘just surviving’, to create a life that you love living to the full.

About Me

Kate Simpson

BA (Hons), Dip. Clin. Hyp, NLP, Coach CP NLP

I got ME in my forties and was severely ill for many years with a range of complex chronic issues, I looked at my situation and decided I would use my illness and recovery to study about chronic illness, firstly so I could better understand how to deal with my own illness and recovery but also so I could help others to develop and follow their own ‘Recovery Programme’.

I studied with many different people to learn how health happens and discovered the cycle of illness, which is not just random, bad luck or genetics but is often rooted understandable events or triggers resulting in chronic illness.

Having trained as an NLP practitioner and clinical hypnotherapist, I have been working with clients for around 15 years, assisting many others to find their pathway to recovery…..

Dealing With The Everyday

Life Experiences

Our life experiences have created the person we are now and sadly the challenges can sometimes become overwhelming, leading to sense of confusion of hopelessness as we strive to navigate alien terrain without a guide.

If symptoms don’t resolve and there seem to be more questions than answers, the addition of stress and trauma can make it impossible to function normally. Seeking help is the first step along any pathway to recovery, exploring what is happening and then learning to combat and manage situations, emotions and feelings in ways that allow you to live and grow.
